The Hunting Dogs of Belgravia

Helen Denerley's Hunting Dogs outside The Caledonian Club
Members of The Caledonian Club and unsuspecting passers-by in Belgravia could have been forgiven for feeling as though they were being watched recently, only to turn around and meet the menacing glare of Helen Denerley's pack of Hunting Dogs.

We have just returned from London, where we were hanging 'Northern Exposure' at the Caledonian Club.  The exhibition looks stunning in the club's drawing room, with new work by Allan MacDonald, Kirstie Cohen and Eugenia Vronskaya, sculpture by Helen Denerley and Gerald Laing and paintings by Alan Macdonald and David Cook.

Allan MacDonald's new work includes several of his sought after silver birch paintings. During hanging, David Cook's paintings were attracting lots of praise from the membership, as were Kirstie Cohen's.

The exhibition also features Gerald Laing's bronze sculpture 'Dreaming', the last of the edition available for sale.  A sculpture from the same edition was stolen form Glasgow's Kelvingrove Museum last year, and then recovered in a wheelie bin nearby.

'Northern Exposure' provides a rare chance to see work from this select group of Scottish artists in the heart of London.  Please get in touch with us if you would be interested in seeing the exhibition.
